Description
The legend of the “Paladin” refers to the twelve brave warriors under Emperor Charlemagne during the medieval period. The collaboration between Paladin and Zhengzhou Nissan has created a legendary off-road vehicle in China. When discussing the Zhengzhou Nissan Paladin, one must mention its performance in the Dakar Rally. In 2004, Chinese driving champion Lu Ningjun piloted a Paladin race car that had only undergone basic safety modifications. He traversed the vast Sahara Desert and, despite hardships, safely reached the finish line, ranking 57th overall. This achievement marked a new era for China’s participation in world-class automotive competitions. Out of 164 vehicles that participated, only about 60 reached the finish line.
The GCD model features electroplated 4-spoke wheel hubs, which have a decent overall texture. The Nissan logo is also present at the center of the hubs. The model includes a replicated brake system and tires branded with the Dakar Rally edition, enhancing its authenticity.
